Mountains and Lakes

The gently sloping mountain ridges reach right up to the top of the canvas. The sky is more green than blue, so the mountain doesn't seem overbearing and appears to rise gently. The brush strokes are composed of horizontal and diagonal strokes, except for a part at the base of the mountain, giving the plain picture a sense of strong flow. This work appears to have been stripped of all unnecessary elements, yet still has a complex expression, as if teaching us the joy of painting.
