The banks of the Louvre Quai (Paris)

This painting depicts the riverside along the Rue de la Louvre from the opposite bank of the Seine River. The landscape remains largely unchanged, capturing the everyday life of Paris with its bustling crowds of people and boats.
Rikizo Takada made several copies of old paintings at the Louvre Museum, making the area around the museum a familiar part of his life. This work frankly portrays the scenery he saw every day.
