KAMBARA Tai

Singapore, Breast - Work no.14

KAMBARA Tai

(Singapore Breast)

Singapore Breasts (unfinalized) 8 (excerpt)

Singapore, this is not Tokyo. Not a hypocritical and vulgar city. The surface of Singapore's shining red soil, made from the red fat of cow fat, is coated with a thick layer of fatty lipstick, and the bay of Singapore, surrounded by hills made from this red soil, fat, and sticky red mucus, is rippled with lukewarm red waves like fresh blood all the time.Ah, the red soil, the red soil of the hills surrounding Singapore's bay, the surface of which is thickly coated with oil, making it shine even redder under the red-hot tropical sun.It is not enough to say that the redness is red.The tropical red soil is redder than red, sticky and oily, melts softly to the touch and groans with delight, and the hot sun shines down on it, hotter than hot, sadder than sad, so hot and sad that it makes you writhe in agony.Singapore, where women are not works of art created by God.It is not a marble, plaster or bronze statue.A woman is a woman. She is a woman with bursting health and the unbridled sexual appetite typical of the tropics. But if saying that a woman is a woman says nothing in the limited vocabulary of human beings, then I would say that a woman is a delicious fruit. The deliciousness is not something that can be measured in inches. The most delicious fruit that man can imagine, living fruit, fruit so beautiful, so fresh, so sweet, could not possibly exist in heaven.A delicious fruit that melts when you touch it and drips with sweet, juicy juice. It was lukewarm and clung tightly to me.

Kambara, a poet, was interested in Italian Futurism and, through his correspondence with Marinetti, expanded his means of expression to include painting.A mixture of vivid reds reminiscent of blood, intense yellows, and light light blues creates a sense of primitive movement within the painting.Incidentally, one of the works in the "Singapore Breast" series is in the collection of the Aichi Prefectural Museum of Art.
