大沢昌助　ŌSAWA Shōsu

多摩美大教授時代の作品。地塗りがなく、麻布に直接描かれている。しかし、裏面への油のシミがないのが不思議。シュルレアリスムの系譜に入る作品で、何を参照して描かれたのかすべてが不可解な内容となっているが、50年代後半の美術の動向を物語る貴重な作品である。

This work dates back to his time as a professor at Tama Art University. It was painted directly onto the linen canvas without any undercoat. However, it is surprising that there are no oil stains on the reverse side. This work belongs to the lineage of Surrealism, and although it is unclear what it was based on, it is a valuable piece that tells us about the trends in art in the late 1950s.
