KOBAYASHI Mango

Village of Apricot Blossoms

KOBAYASHI Mango

Kobayashi Mango, who taught at the Tokyo School of Fine Arts, showcased his gentle painting style at the Hakuba Association, Kofu Association, and official exhibitions. His brushwork possesses a dexterity that allows for free movement, with the sky tilting to the right and a part of the grass tilting to the left. Overall, this painting evokes a sense of spring with its pale hues, but upon closer inspection of the flowers, one can see the innovative use of subtly vibrant blues and reds, along with thickly applied viscous white paint.
